The opportunity
Our carers and companions help people feel connected, supported and more confident in their daily lives. Depending on the role, that may include friendly visits, shared activities, accompaniment to appointments, community outings or providing a trusted break for an unpaid carer.
You will work in a person-centred way, respecting each individual’s choices, routines, privacy and independence. The exact responsibilities, working pattern and required checks will always be made clear for the role you apply for.

Checks and suitability
Appointments are subject to satisfactory references, verification of the right to work in the UK and the DBS and safeguarding checks legally appropriate to the duties of the role. We will explain each step and request documents securely when they are needed.
Training and support
Relevant care experience and training are welcome, but they are not the only route into companionship work. We value transferable experience and a willingness to learn, follow guidance and keep developing.
